New amendments to the Labour Act in Croatia aim to enhance pay transparency and regulate platform work more effectively.
The Croatian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has unveiled amendments to the Labour Act intended to align local regulations with EU directives, notably enhancing pay transparency within the workforce. Under these amendments, employers will be required to disclose pay scales and salary information, which aims to close wage gaps and ensure fair compensation practices.
Additionally, the changes will reinforce regulations around platform work, providing clearer guidelines on conditions and remuneration for gig economy workers. By increasing accountability and visibility into wage structures, the government hopes to improve labor standards and worker satisfaction across various sectors.
