Kuwait Wage Protection System: PAM Checks Expat Pay - Khaleej Journal

Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has linked its systems to the Central Bank to monitor salary payments, introducing new compliance measures for employers.
Kuwait’s PAM has recently integrated its systems with the Central Bank's Wage Protection System to enhance oversight of salary payments to expatriate workers. This initiative focuses on ensuring that companies adhere to wage protection laws, potentially imposing restrictions on services for those in violation.
Employers must now ensure that they pay at least 90% of their workforce on time to avoid sanctions, including the inability to issue new work permits or register for government contracts. This robust monitoring aims to eliminate wage disputes and ensure financial accountability within the labor market.
